Hi, welcome. If you are new here please subscibe to my blog/RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
What are you sharing? Your product? Your business?
How about YOU!
Ok, we’re not going to just listen to you talk about YOU all day.
But it is YOU that we are “buying into” .
Do you just want to plug into a system and “get” some quick cash?
OR are you building a business. More than ever, the aspiring entreprenuer needs to understand some core concepts of business, or what are we really doing here? Understanding the basics will prevent rapid loss of our little capital cash to over-hypted opportunities and choose our leaders and training products wisely.
In my few starter, test videos, I discuss some of the core concepts and clarify what I and those “with” me focus on.
All this is magnified and accelerated using video.
“Take your audience on a journey. Inspiratonal speakers captivate their audience”
Seems like a STORY here.
Even if it’s just your little world.
They will want to come WITH you!
Grab their imagination!Take them WITH you. Crucial. Critical. Must.
Your life and passion must empower your hearers.
OK , sometimes it’s not easy to do. Maybe difficult for us to get-there ourselves sometimes. We must get there to take others with us. That eye contact. The sense of excitment. This exceeds all the imperfections of our video or presentation. Just like here. I can not sell you something I don’t have myself. If it’s the wisdom strategies at the Empower Network, my blog site http://www.empowernetwork.com/jameseratcliffe/ .
Does your best story answer or fill the desire of your hearer’s point of view?
Remember, it’s about their point of view. Being a great story is not all that great if it does not satisfy your hearer’s point of view. It’s that point of view. No one wants to be “buffaloed” . You can smell it coming down the road.
Honestly now.
Does it make things “easier” for them?
Does it promise {you honesty intend to do} instant change or better results?
Just money or cash?
How about social position? Ego or just ‘belonging’? Being connected?
Security?
Fun or joy. Simple pleasure?
Conversely, fear of the opposite of any of the above?
Does it place us in different or common ground?
Promotion or popularity? Health, wealth or wisdom?
A great story is not that easy, at least most of the time. But well worth it.
Remember, if that story captures their imagination, they travel WITH you.
Truth or fact based, bringing them from an agreeable point to a real hope is so powerful.
It’s critical to know that your business is
not your business.
Marketing is your business.
Your business is marketing, marketing, MARKETING!
Ok, at least 2/3 of it is marketing.
That’s what the marketing professor of a leading university taught us in the 2 day seminar regarding our new on-line cashflow businesses. {He had the credentials of education and successful businesses.}
Way back about 2004. News ads & Sunday papers spread
across the floor and the internet marketing which the home office was paying
for (SEO& ads), he went through it top to bottom. Then our newly purchased websites.
Well, that’s another story.
The 2nd point is who we are marketing to.
Remember! We are not trying to change anyone’s mind.
We are finding a mind or view point not yet found. A view point of a group of peoplewe can present our story and/or a specific aspect or product in a story.
Find the view point,
Develope the story,
Establish a connection/relationship.
DON’T tell lies! Tell the truth. Don’t manufacture or steal a story. Simply “glean” the story for the view point. Not much there? Then STICK TO YOUR STORY.
YOUR STORY in video will attract undiscovered view points.
Not the product. What’s going to sell your product.
The Story.
Not just any story. Not just the product story. YOUR story.
People want to hear your story. I want to hear your story.
How does the product story connect or tranform into yours?
According to Gerry Spence the well known super successful
attorney, the story is key. In his book, “How To Argue and Win
Every Time”, St. Martin’s Press 1995, Chap. 8, he could not write
a good argument to save his life but he can tell a story. Use a thesis,
a point of view which advanced by the argument, and tell the story.
Well this is my over simplified sample. But it is true. The story must
be true.
Think of the best preachers, orators, politicians(their speech writers),
successful sales persons. Most can tell a really good story.
Better yet, a not-so-good story told very well.
Actually making the connection to you very well.
Ok, Ok! The fish wasn’t all that huge. But it sure felt like it!
Remember the biggest fish you caught?
It was only 5 inches but may as well have been 50 inches long!
Ok so the first deal you ever closed made only a few bucks, but it felt like a million!
You can use the ‘stretch’ but just be sure to tell the truth.
When I went from no list, to a whole whopping 6 people, within two weeks.
Compared to not list for 30 years.
Only God knows how great it felt! Ok, a few others too.
Later.
Oh if you want to know how I did it, contact me on this blog or call 313 526 2025.
It’s less painful to bang your head against the wall.
That’s what we used to do. (mkt. to unblievers, not the head-thing)
In today’s Web world, it’s much easier to start-a-business.
But we still have a difficult task. FINDING BELIEVERS!
Back then we were taught to find people (“believers”) who might be interested in our product. That didn’t work very well either.
Mission; Discover what people are believing. A huge, large group of people. Can your product appeal to what they believe? If you can ‘re-package’ to their particular liking? (that believer type. Where are they? Who are they? How can we attract them?)
Beliefs can change. Even overnight. We must apply all the leverage and scale we can to qualify or filter those possible believers.
VIDEO BRANDING can do this.
Video online can multiply your efforts on a massive scale. They will get to know you, eventually {or immediately} like you, and then sooner or a little later, they will trust you. Well now we’re into the Inner Circle Secrets. TRUST?
30 years ago, I wasn’t a social butterfly (or today either lol), or something that put me in front of a lot of people, I was hopless.
Off line meant; off-the-face-of-the-earth. Of course there wasn’t any real “on-line” either.
Now with on-line leverage and un-limited marketing resouces…look out!
Some of the old rules still apply in MLM network internet marketing.
It’s not all high class tech. It still boils down to “raw animal magnetism”.
You’re natual self (branding) is the champion. The subtle natural attraction or magnetic pull of your passion through video is the “not-so-secret” weapon.
But unlike thirty years ago, although more competition, we have much more power!
Now the secret is out! Finding the “right people”. Rather; attracting them to you. Suddenly I had a list. Me. With a LIST. Did I spell it right? A LIST! Only a few people. Before, I had NO LIST.
This is a very basic but profound shift in philosophy and everything else. I’m no longer the sad teacher talking to myself.
As you watch the two videos below, in the separate blogs, of Cramer and Hannah, they have a commercial which plays first, when you click to play. {The CNBC Cramer has NBC ‘stuff’ all over it.} If you ‘return‘ sometimes the commercial does not play on the NBC one, and it will play Jim Cramer instantly. Kairos Environment Inc has the solution to this problem of forced foreign branding. The Kairos portal of the Attraction Market Society can help marketers release their/YOUR full potential. The subjects of these two videos are real and content valuable and interesting.Cramer on Companies Home-based has a date, but the content reveals it’s relevance over time. Please {get past their branding} and Enjoy!
If you’re tired of doing the same old boring “talking-heads” videos.
If you want new ideas! and more interesting, fun approach.

When you ask for what you really want, You tell the truth.
Years ago, (circa 1950-60′s) there was a t.v. show which 3 constestants were questioned by a panel of celebrites, trying to determine which one was ‘telling the truth‘. The other 2 contestants were lying to fool the panel. If successful, they could win up to $1000. which was good chunk of ‘change’ back then.
Marketing, or winning your ‘argument’ is like that sometimes. We attract and ‘beat around the bush’ until either we win, or totally LOSE.
So much effort, and sometimes borders are crossed by some unethical types into deceit.
The target leaves frustrated and the marketer comes away empty handed.
Gerry Spence, in his book,”How to Argue and Win Every Time“, brings out this point very nicely in page 62. To just begin with telling what you want. He goes on to site an important case with juror’s observation afterwards. It had to do with Mr. Spence telling the jury exactly what he wanted them to do in the case.
I enjoy many marketing presentations which have little suspense and seem to get right to the point. Of course we make that point too, to build all the love we can with our targeted person(s). I, as others do, appreciate getting right to ‘it’. Some allowance must be given to preparation for bigger offers. Marketers must, as good attorneys, build their case. Colors, show and just plain funny, but MUST BE TRUTHFUL. We MUST TELL THE TRUTH ALWAYS, at least in the whole context of course. {there is great value in “telling a good story“}. Where would any of us be, if we could not tell “a story” or two?
Hi, I’m gone for week end. But next week besides; “truth in story telling” is “getting the big money”. Have great weekend and tell the truth! ok,…after you told your story.
Don’t forget. You just might get exactly what you ask for although it may not appear as you thought.
Something does happen when we’re talking face to face. Internet video may seem very one sided. Which is true. Yet if the speaker has YOU on their mind. The solution to YOUR pain and suffering. Real empathy. That’s a huge “sticky” factor. The secret sauce of human attraction starts to oozes it’s way in.
There is so much glitz, glamour and hype, we may loose all hope of actually experiencing the real person for all that over flow of personality that makes us so sick on line.
That’s why it’s so important to do a lot of video. Many short videos. A few long ones. Eventually people see you for what you are, the real you, to some measure anyway.
Even if you like to do the more formal and distinguished approach. And sometimes we all need to get serious. Or the more fun and “reality-tv” style. We need to get relaxed so it flows naturally as our personality would. After some self training with the lense and lighting it can be really quite fun. Sooner or later the secret sauce has it’s effect.
It’s just “relationship marketing”, or network marketing. Really putting the people back into the formula.
Then of course is the massive leverage and scale of your personal video brand. Either you brand yourself, or yourself to a product or other company.
Starting a distributorship in an MLM years ago was very difficult for me.
Off-line and very isolated life style was not a working formula. The training had us beginners trying all sorts of ‘tricks’ to convince or persuade prospects to buy. {Forget sponsoring}.
It became a battle for the mind.
Begging Them To Buy
“They must change their mind!” I lost mine!
I lost my head try’n to change theirs!!
It seems like the leaders assumed the person I clamped my attention to, was a decent, prospect/lead. At least listening. (It was kind of like a hobby) “Share at leizure.”
Rejection and misery were my close friends.
If I cannot not reach a certain group of people with a set veiwpoint I can appeal to, then I must get exposure by somehow attracting them to me. A set target, drawn to a taget. Like a meeting of the minds. It would be a meeting of targets!
I found this to be true. Instead of fantasy, I had a real LIST! Small but, A LIST!
It may as well have been a million people. A million dollars ($1,000,000.).
